At least 16 individual states had already taken action to ban one or more of these chemicals. But this new measure now means it is illegal to possess or sell these chemicals or products that contain these chemicals, anywhere in the United States. This emergency action will remain in place for at least the next year, while further studies are conducted to potentially make this ban permanent.

Though it is easy to make light of boyfriend/girlfriend relationships at this young age, it may be a risky notion; as statistics show that one in three teens experience an abusive dating relationship prior to high school graduation.
