Drive-by Workshop: Generation Rx and the Abuse of Medication in a Drug-Taking Society

 
  • Presenters: The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy.
  • This session will explore the nature of “Generation Rx†and ramifications for the use and abuse of prescription and non- prescription medications in the pharmaceutical era. Statistics relating to the misuse of these medications in general and among college students in particular will be discussed. Specific medications which are prone to abuse will be described. Collegiate educational programming to inform students about these issues will be considered as well as potential inter-institutional collaborations.
