This document provides information on the Ohio College Initiative to Reduce High-Rick Drinking program's activities covering 2007-2008. The Ohio College Initiative to Reduce High-Rick Drinking was started in 1996 to reduce high-risk drinking and increase student wellness through campus/community collaborations and the implementation of strategies to promote healthier campus environments.

Colleges Move Boldly On Student Drinking

An article in the December 6, 2007 edition of the Wall Street Journal talks about colleges and universities increasing the use of parental notification when their kids are caught with alcohol.  Colleges are using this to bring parents into a partnership role to help curb excessive drinking on campuses and to keep them positively involved in their student’s life.
